Most beverage companies are really sales and marketing companies that outsource the product development. And as a result, they can move very fast in the product development…but I think the result is that many of those products are kind of mediocre… it's a little bit [the] same as a tech company that has an outsourced tech team building your core thing. YC is pretty vocal that that's not a good way to go. You have to have that in house to be able to move fast and build something great…R&D [is] one of our core competencies, and one of our first hires was a full-time food scientist.
